The Parenting Center is a safe and warm environment where moms and dads can come to learn, discuss and explore issues surrounding their journey in parenting. The theoretical basis for The Parenting Center is attachment parenting. Babies, toddlers and children of all ages are always welcome to join their parents at The Parenting Center.

New Mother/New Baby Circle

A group of women and their babies, under 6 months of age, will get together on a weekly basis, for eight weeks in a supportive environment, to share their experiences and to discuss the following issues:

  • Emotional adjustment to parenthood
  • Integration of the experience of childbirth
  • Family/marital changes
  • Changes in your body
  • Postpartum needs and feelings
  • Parenting styles
  • Nighttime parenting and how to get your baby to sleep
  • Breastfeeding and infant nutrition
  • Socialization needs of mom and baby
  • Work and motherhood
  • Couples session

The focus of the Circle will be on attachment parenting.

The cost of the group is $250 and may be covered under your health insurance policy.
